A very inspiring chat with my big sister Rachel - on her passion for weight lifting, her experience of running gyms, and how strength training can change your life.
Loved this and your sister, what a woman - equally love strength training, the lack of mirrors (fantastic) and the power you feel when you can lift heavy things. Give me all the muscles, I'm on a journey back to strength three years after giving birth which was a ride, I'm doing it in a slow and gentle way and the comfort in the consistency brings such peace of mind as the body tranforms as I move and I know I'll be *Physically* strong again. Would love a 'Strength room' by me!
Great interview, love the energy. Growing up in Dublin in the 80s playing hockey in the rain, such memories:). And I love the “do-it” approach - it’s so important to not just have a bunch of knowledge of what’s theoretically good for us. We need to actually do the things. Am off to subscribe to Rachel’s Substack now to read about pigs!
Such a brilliant listen, Rachel is awesome, so full of energy and enthusiasm for movement and its importance. The chat between you was excellent, look forward to more.
