Movement Month Live - a chat with Jo Hutton on all things yoga

The origins and concepts of yoga, what yoga does for our brains, how we can separate ourselves from our thoughts, and how yoga and change are synonymous....

My first Substack Live Jo Hutton from Yoga For Tired People happened on Tuesday night. Thanks so much to everyone who tuned it. I loved it and It’s made me really excited to do this more on Substack.

Jo has thirteen years experience of teaching yoga and was very wise and patient with my rudimentary questions. I have never been a yoga convert, I always felt that it wasn’t high intensity enough as a form of exercise for me. I want to sweat! I want to my heart to be jumping out of my chest! Well suffice to say I learnt so much in this conversation with Jo. It’s about the mind Annie. Duh.

In speaking to Jo I realised that now, more than ever in my life, I need yoga and or meditation. My thoughts feel more convoluted and scattered than ever before. I forget stuff all the time. I need to work at getting back into my body. Jo said she’s doing a 7 day meditation course on her page in March so thank you Substack.

You can watch the whole thing for free here. Really hope you get something out of it.
