Thank you so much for another epic night on Saturday. It was a big one for me, in 2023 when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and was about to do 6 months of chemo. I was only 35 so it was a biiiiiig shock.

Despite this intensely shit news, my bestie and I had tickets to Before Midnight at Albert Hall Manchester and I thought FUCK IT I’m still going. We needed an extra ticket and somehow through a friend of a friend you kindly gave us one because of the circumstances. We had a brilliant night dancing, but it was emotional not knowing how long it might be until I could be on a dance floor again or what the future might hold at all… we made it until 11:30pm but had to call it a night before bangers power half hour.

On Saturday after a year clear of Cancer, like a rite of passage I wore the same outfit and danced my socks off. And I was there for Like A Prayer. Thank you for providing a very special place for me to celebrate! More Life, More Dancing!

P.S I am not someone who’s usually very public about being ill. But I really felt compelled to reach out to you to say Thank you. X

Annie, you have curated something so special with Before Midnight. I have enjoyed your sets for well over 10 years all over London, and you just make it a little more special every single time. Academy Brixton this weekend was absolutely top notch - a perfect combination of epic music, energy and company. Thank you!!! X

Thank you Annie. I bought a bunch of tickets and celebrated my 40th on Saturday alongside 30 of my closest friends. It was magical, emotional, and the best 40th party I could have imagined. You have created something special, and there was just so much happiness in one room. Thank you!

It was the best night. It’s one of those moments where you hold that moment and it gets you through the tougher days. And you can feel the music in the strands of your hair. Honestly never thought I’d get to do it all again. Haven’t missed a london before midnight yet and don’t intend to. Next time I’ll bring my daughter.

Dearest Annie Saturday was amazing. Me and my friend have tried to coordinate diaries for a Before Midnight date for a while. I live in Manchester and she lives in London…the ✨ and the diaries aligned for Brixton. I ❤️ the vibe, the atmosphere just the whole night was 🔥 one of my friends gym instructors was one of the dancers so we were wooping and cheering her on too!! I have missed raving I’m in my 40s now and it takes longer to recover these days! Being in bed with a cup of tea by 2am after 4hrs of dancing, smiling and utter joy is what I can only describe as akin to a spiritual experience. Thank you Annie you have started something very special long may it last. Slàinte 😘

It sounds like an amazing night Annie. I love remembering the feeling of when the top of my head comes off and the universe comes in… I’ve had a few of those at Brixton Academy!

I loved how you described that you're not making an entrance but build the night gradually.

Loved this, Thankyou so much for sharing, sounds like an Epic night 💥

That description is spot on. I’ve raved since being a teenager and still love going to dayraves now - such a feeling of love, freedom and fun. Hubby & me go together, as we have done for the past 27 years. Memorywise he is my memory bank (trauma has taken a lot of mine). We both have adhd and have a very “misspent “ youth so memories are hazy but we love sitting and chatting about our life together, keeps it alive 🩷

I love that your partner is your memory bank. My partner is as bad as me if not worse for memory so we are both like bleeding goldfish lol. I think sitting and actively tryng to remember is important. i think I don't do that enough. Thanks Sarra x
